We have 2 immediate family members with mold illness who become ill when visiting our home. We felt we needed to discover why this was happening. In our search for an independent, certified, indoor environmental consultant, we received two referrals for Tim Wainscott of DMV Mold. Tim responded promptly to our inquiry and within 2 weeks he was able to thoroughly test our home for mold, VOCs, formaldehyde, etc. As he inspected the house, he explained each test clearly and gave us advice of immediate actions we could take to help help eliminate sources of mold/VOCs/formaldehyde. When the test results showed we had some problems, Tim explained the results in detail and we discussed remediation actions we needed to take to resolve the problems. After we received an estimate from a remediation firm, Tim confirmed their recommendations on what needed to be done. Tim is knowledgeable, communicates clearly, responds quickly to calls and emails, and was extremely thorough in the testing process. We feel his service fees are reasonable and that we can depend on his honesty in his recommendations.
